1. PRESCHOOL ADMISSIONS CHECKLIST (Turning 3 by Sep., 1 2023)
This checklist is for students entering into the 2023-2024 school year.
SCHOOL TOURS
We currently offer in-person or virtual personalized tours. These tours are available by appointment. The admissions office will contact you for your tour after the inquiry. For an in-person tour, we would like to meet the student applicants on campus. For a virtual tour, we would like to meet the student applicants in the last 5–10 minutes.
APPLICATION
Complete the online application for admission and submit the $75 non-refundable application fee.
2. PRE-KINDERGARTEN ADMISSIONS CHECKLIST (Turning 4 by Sep., 1 2023)
This checklist is for students entering into the 2023-2024 school year.

All Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten candidates who have submitted the application and fee will need to be scheduled for Gesell Developmental Screening to evaluate readiness for school. The Admissions office will contact you to arrange an appointment to come to the school for this in-person session.

REQUEST FOR TRANSCRIPT
Click here to download the Request for Transcript form. Print the applicant’s name ( student name ) on the Request for Transcript Form and provide parent signature as an authorization to release the student’s transcript. Send th e signed form back to the NHSP Admissions office at admissions@newhorizonschool.org .
TEACHER RECOMMENDATION
Click here to download the Teacher Recommendation form. Print the applicant’s name (student name) on the Teacher Recommendation Form. E-mail the form to the applicant’s current teacher, and ask the teacher to directly e-mail their recommendation back to the NHSP Admissions office at admissions@newhorizonschool.org . This is a confidential form that must be provided to the school by the teacher only.
STUDENT ASSESSMENT
Students applying to grades 1 – 8 will be scheduled for a student assessment that will take approximately 90 minutes. Applicants will be assessed in reading, math and writing. We will have a brief chat with them to get to know them better and answer any questions they might have.
