At NHSP, we are very proud of the many achievements of our alumni as they have graduated high school, college, and graduate programs throughout the country. Along with the lifelong friendships that many alumni boast through their New Horizon years, we believe the alumni are a valuable resource to our current student body, and we encourage our alumni to stay connected with the school through our alumni tutoring program, community service opportunities, presenting at Career Day, and joining us for Alumni Day and Alumni Reunion each year. Keeping our alumni connected enriches our students’ understanding of how their NHS experience can help shape their attitudes, identities, and beliefs and values.
Students from New Horizon are well prepared to continue their educational journey beyond New Horizon to high school and college. Many attend local private schools as well as public schools near their homes.

Photos are a wonderful way for us to look back to the past. Look into our Photo Gallery for photos from all they way back to 1984 with the school’s founding. This collection of photos is a work-in-progress, and we always appreciate alumni and alumni parents sharing their photos as part of our collective history.
Each year the school hosts different events that alumni are encouraged to attend. Alumni Day takes place in December and gives alumni a chance to get together and also to share their experiences with the students and parents through a panel Q & A. The school provides a breakfast reception afterwards. In June the school celebrates alumni at the Annual Alumni Reunion with a special focus on the graduating high school senior class for that year. Other opportunities may arise for alumni involvement such as Career Day which offers a forum to share about their careers to the middle school students.
Alumni are invited to give back to their elementary and middle school alma mater in a number of ways. The Alumni Tutoring program allows alumni to interact with students and to make a difference. Community service hours can be completed at the school for those in high school who have to complete this requirement. Camp counselor positions (volunteer and paid) are open to alumni and other youth at our summer camp. Those who are interested should apply in March and April. Alumni can also give back to the school with a gift, small or large, monthly or one-time. For more information on how to support the school’s strategic vision and ensure students today and in the future have the best possible education at NHSP, give to our Annual Fund and Quantum Leap.
3rd Annual Alumni Day
NHSP 3rd Annual Alumni Day program is an opportunity for our current students and parents to learn about the impact of the New Horizon experience and the transition beyond. Likewise, this day is an opportunity for NHSP Alumni to look back, come back and give back. This year, parents learned about the middle school program from our current leaders in Student Council and heard about the experience of our alumni transitioning to high school and college.
