Explore our art programs for all grades!

Lower School Art Program (K-4)

Students enjoy the creative process in a fun and encouraging environment that helps cultivate their creativity, awareness, and artistic growth. Finding inspiration from the world around them, literature, artists, and nature, students enjoy the creative process, as they explore different media and techniques.

Throughout the year, students are also introduced to the “Elements of Art” (line, shape, color, value, texture, space, and form) which are the building blocks for art and creative expression.

Middle School Art Program (5-8)

This art program is designed to continue to support students’ exploration with different art media, techniques, and artistic self-expression.

Fifth Grade

Artists & Movements

Students learn about and find inspiration from a range of artists and art movements from around the world, past and present. Students use their imagination and creativity to create original artwork.

Sixth Grade

Principles of Art

students build on their foundational understanding of the basic elements of art and explore how they are used to create art. Students enjoy using a variety of media and techniques to create original artwork as they continue with their creative growth.

Seventh and Eighth Grades

Art Electives

These grades have the opportunity to select from the following art electives.

Ceramics: This elective is an introduction to basic hand-building techniques, pinching, coiling, and slab building. Students enjoy using their hands and simple tools to create unique pottery.

Sketchbook It: This is a fun and creative way for students to explore different themes and art techniques while creating their own personal art journal that highlights and reflects their interest.
