New Horizon School has provided excellence in Islamic and academic education to children between the ages of 2 and 12 for three decades.
Established
The school was established in 1984 as a preschool in a leased building in the city of South Pasadena
On a 35,000 square feet property on Cypress Avenue, NHS Pasadena opened its doors to students in Preschool through 6th Grade in the fall of 1993.
By 1995, NHS Pasadena was accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) (3-year term) and opened a middle school program for grades 5-8.
NHS Pasadena held its Grand Opening for the new Middle School Campus in 1999 and was awarded its first full 6-year term of accreditation by CAIS and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) the same year.
In 2005, the school was awarded the nationally recognized Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Department of Education.
One certainty in the history of New Horizon School Pasadena is its resiliency and commitment to continuous improvement in the service of the children, the community, and the faith.
